The holidays are finally here, thank goodness. I don't see why we even went to school day, it was so pointless. we were almost falling asleep in our seats in math. It was so boring. But eventhough the holidays are here, i can't really relax. Why you ask? Because I have a vilin exam on January 9th, only 2 weeks away. I'm really freaking out right now because i am so not ready for it. Gulp. Just my luck to have an exam on the first day of all the exams at RCM. Ah well, at least i get to miss school for a day so i can practice. Don't know how much that will help though.
I've got to go to bed now, I have a long day tomorrow. It will be Christmas eve after all.

Fingal
Just arrived home from Fingal, which is a camp just outside of London, Ontario. We were to spend sometime there receiving workshops with music professionals, and to build as a group. It was freezing when we left for it yesterday. Loading all the equipment and luggage was painful. And since we had to ride school buses, it wasn't exactly a fun ride. After dinner, we promply got lost and had to back track many times before we finally found our way. When we arrived, I don't think it was exactly what we expected. We were given a performance by a jazz group, and they were pretty good. They talked a little about the music and style of jazz and did really cool things. After that we divided into groups and played some games. The night all in all was pretty fun.
The next morning (this morning) we were woken up at 7:00, so we can get ready and go to our workshops. The funny thing is that the conducters for the strings were my old conducters in the Forest City Suzuki school. It was cool. They are great conducters. That was basicly our whole morning. Ofcourse being highschoolers most of us didn't go to bed until well past midnight, so we were pretty much ready to keal over by lunch time. Thank goodness lunch was very good, unlike our breakfast which included cold coffee, soggy ceral, and burnt toast. After a huge clean up of several buildings, and a long wait for our insturments to be loaded, we finally left for home.
As a result of too little sleep, most of the people on my bus were falling asleep right and left, and some on top of each other. Really, i'm being perfectly serious.
Well i think that other than better playing skills, this trip have showed us that we are incredibely spoiled. Maybe not to the extrem, but spoiled non the less. I mean after one day away from home, we were complaining about every little thing, and were crying for home. That's kind of pathetic don't you think?
